Baum for Manlius

1. STOP the frivolous spending by this administration on things not relevant to operating our community.

2. Should we really increase our "community beautification" budget by 50% and reduce our senior centre funding by 10%?

3. Reduce the fund balance. Almost $2.1 MILLION is in our fund balance. The Comptroller's office calls this "Excessive" and says it  "does not appear to be responsible budgeting".

4. Stop spending money on study after study about the fire department.  Agree or disagree with the conclusions and move on - Let the people decide! Once the study is back and the recommendations are in, put it to a public referendum.

5. Work with the local business community. There are lots of opportunities for sponsorships of local events, etc.

6. Why is it the Recreation Department Director, Fire Administrator, DPW Director, and Court Clerk haven't had a raise in three years? Why did they get quiet bonuses instead?

7. Don't accept the candidates they hand pick for us! Write in a candidate YOU feel would serve the community well!

Did you Know:

It would only take 311 signatures of registered voters in the village of Manlius to get a referendum on the ballot to vote on whether or not to DISSOLVE the village?

I grew up in upstate New York. My family struggled to make ends meet. I appreciate what it means to a family when their taxes continue to rise, while their paychecks stay the same.

I married my high school sweetheart, Jennifer, and we have three wonderful boys, Zachary, Matthew, and Colton.

We choose to live in Manlius because it is the kind of place we want our kids to grow up in.
